Shanghai Zidong Nylon Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the soft packaging new material industry under the manufacturing sector of Zijiang Group, was established in August 2004. It was jointly invested and established by Toyobo Co., Ltd. of Japan and Shanghai Zijiang Enterprise Group Co., Ltd., specializing in the production and sales of high-quality BOPA nylon films.

After Toyobo Co., Ltd. of Japan withdrew its investment in 2009, the equity was transferred to Shanghai Zijiang Group (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Zijiang Enterprise Group Co., Ltd. In August 2017, the company was officially renamed Shanghai Zidong Nylon Materials Technology Co., Ltd., and is now wholly owned by Shanghai Zijiang Enterprise Group Co., Ltd. (stock name "Zijiang Enterprise", stock code 600210). The company is located at No. 1899, Zhongchun Road, Xinzhuang Industrial Park, Shanghai, covering an area of 5,000 square meters.

With the continuous expansion of the company's business, in 2022, the company registered and established a subsidiary, Shanghai Zidong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., in Shanghai Maqiao Industrial Park, and built a new BOPA nylon film production line with an annual capacity of 15,000 tons. This project was officially put into production in 2024.
